The American Israel Public Affairs Committee – Outreach Education Director

Summary: The Outreach Education Director will work closely with the National Outreach Director and other Outreach Program staff in Washington, D.C., and in AIPAC regional offices to develop and implement an Outreach Fellowship Program, prepare political activist training materials, and prepare reports, newsletters and other communications for Outreach Program activists, donors and staff. The National Outreach Program promotes pro-Israel activism and education among leaders of various constituencies, including Progressives, African Americans, Hispanics, and Religiously-Motivated Pro-Israel Christians.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Develop and implement Outreach Program Fellowship Program for Israel trip alumni to provide ongoing education, activist training and leadership growth.
•Plan and execute lay leader educational and training events in Washington, D.C. and around the United States.
•Draft and edit reports and newsletters for donors, staff and Outreach Program activists regarding Outreach Program activities.
•Develop ideas for newsletters and other communication tools to promote and conduct Outreach Program activities.
•Work closely and cooperatively with AIPAC staff and lay leaders.
•Other duties as assigned by the National Outreach Director.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s or other advanced degree strongly desired, or commensurate experience.
·Strong, demonstrated commitment to the U.S. – Israel relationship.
·Strong writing skills, including creative and business-oriented
materials.
·Experience working with diverse communities.
·At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience.
·Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
·Strong computer skills required.
