Research Analyst – Health Care Policy

Summary of Position

Hard-working and experienced health care policy professional (five to seven years) sought to analyze health care policy proposals before Congress and the Administration and to write industry-specific reports. Financial industry experience is not a prerequisite, but a background in health care policy, health care economics, or medicine is preferred. Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.

This position is located in Arlington, VA.

•Five to seven years of professional policy experience, including positions of responsibility in government, think tanks, lobbying, and/or advocacy. Work experience in the Obama Administration or Congressional leadership strongly preferred.
•Economic analytical skills, including understanding of basic economic, financial, or mathematical tools.
•Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and apply creative solutions.
•Issue experience in the health care policy, Affordable Care Act implementation, or Medicare/Medicaid.
•Specific knowledge of Congressional and/or Administrative rulemaking procedures and the key players in health care policy.
•Proven track record of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas in a confident, timely organized manner.
•Ability to work in teams in a fast-paced environment.
