Bocce is the perfect social sport – it’s enjoyed by people of all ages, genders, and experience levels. When playing bocce, you are standing with your opponents, not on the other side of the field so it’s easy to meet new people! Plus, you can play bocce with only one hand, leaving your other hand free to do with it what you chose, like hold a nice tasty beverage.
The League is currently registering for its upcoming spring season at Garfield Park on Capitol Hill at 2nd and F Streets, SE. Sign up to play on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. Games are played at 6:30 and 7:30 pm and start the week of April 16. After games, players head to the bar for good times, cheap drinks, and a little post-game comradery. The season runs for 8 weeks and concludes on Saturday, June 15 with an all-day charity bocce tournament featuring 20+ kegs of beers, live bands, food and more! Register online by creating a new team (6 player minimum), join an existing team (team password needed) or sign up without a team and get added to a team with other friendly folks.
