Community Connect, LLC is working with Planned Parenthood’s National Office on a new Affordable Care Act (ACA) Outreach Campaign. As part of this campaign, Community Connect, LLC is looking to hire 4 ACA Canvass Managers to lead this Affordable Care Act outreach and education campaign that will begin in the key states of Texas, Florida, & Arizona. A key emphasis of the outreach and education campaign will target Latino populations in each of these states.
This ACA Outreach Campaign will run through April 1, 2014 – with each Canvass Manager working full-time at their assigned site. The Canvass Managers report directly to the Deputy Campaign Director or in the states of Florida and Texas will report to the State Director.
Position Description
The Canvass Managers will each oversee a robust door-to door canvass program in one of our several loca-tions in: San Antonio, Miami, Phoenix, & Tucson to support Planned Parenthood’s Affordable Care Act outreach and education campaign. Under the Affordable Care Act, millions of uninsured women will be newly eligible for Medicaid under the expansion or will qualify for consumer-friendly premium tax credits to help them purchase cov-erage in the state health insurance exchanges established by the ACA. Planned Parenthood is launching a dy-namic operation to reach, engage, and educate these women and help them begin the process of obtaining health coverage (with emphasis serving Latino populations).
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Deputy Campaign Director or State Director to develop and implement all components of a strategic canvassing operation and budget for each key metropolitan area
• Recruit, train, and manage canvassers in each area
• Develop metrics-driven reporting system to track progress on daily, weekly, and monthly basis and implement rigorous quality control measures
• Coordinate with Planned Parenthood’s Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP) on its ACA canvassing efforts
