AIPAC is seeking a dynamic, articulate and politically savvy individual with demonstrated leadership skills to fill the senior position of Deputy National Political Director located in Washington, D.C.

Working closely with the National Political Director, this person will assist in developing and implementing AIPAC’s political strategies as well as the department’s overall goals and objectives. The Deputy Political Director will also oversee and implement the organization’s grassroots program and manage the program’s team. He/she will work closely with AIPAC’s ten regional offices to oversee the implementation of AIPAC’s political strategies and activities around the country.
The Deputy National Political Director will meet with candidates running for the United States Congress, educate and train AIPAC citizen activists and in conjunction with AIPAC’s regional offices, expand the base of pro-Israel political activists. He/she will interact regularly with AIPAC’s top leadership including members of AIPAC’s National Board of Directors.
National travel is required to speak on current events/politics/pro-Israel advocacy/ advocacy training.
• Ten or more years of experience working on Capitol Hill, on political campaigns or other relevant experience
• Passion for the U.S. – Israel relationship
• Knowledge of the issues affecting the U.S. – Israel alliance
• Proven management experience
• Excellent writing skills
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
